Varsity Girls Track and Field: Penn Relays Update

Penn Relays LogoPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania- For the 2nd year in a row, Fort Lee’s Varsity Track and Field team will attend the Penn Relay Carnival. For 2018, the Bridgemen will also bring the Girls 4x100 and the Girls 4x400 relay teams. For the boys, Fort Lee will compete in both the 4x100 and the 4x400. At the 124th Penn Relay Carnival, team from seven countries compete in over 500 races in just 3 days. The Bridgemen girls competed in two events this afternoon: the 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay event. First up for Fort Lee was the 4x100 relay. Your Bridgemen finished with a time of 53.22, a 7th place finish in heat, 87th out of 132. Other teams from the North Jersey Area in our event were: Eastside, Edison, Elizabeth, Emerson, Fair Lawn, Ferris, Glen Rock, Hackensack, Holy Angels, Indian Hills and John F. Kennedy, among others. Later in the afternoon, Fort Lee competed in the 4x400 relay. Final time for Fort Lee was 4:17.03. Spilts: Kaiya Ho (1:05.56), Joanne Samuel-Olagunju (1:03.72), Kendall Caballero (1:02.92), Kaylin Fernandez (1:04.84). The Bridgemen boys will compete in the same events tomorrow at Franklin Field.
