The Fort Lee Korean Parent Advisory Council (KPAC) is one of several bilingual parent advisory councils formed under the suggestion of the Superintendent of the Fort Lee Public Schools in the 1980’s. This organzaition assists Korean-American students, parents, and the school district with translation services as well as by acting as helping Korean-American families as they settle into the District. Additonally, KPAC works to promote Korean culture within descendants living in America. An email newsletter is generated regularly for parents who provide their email addresses, especially beneficial to those who cannot attend regular meetings.
포트리 한인학부모회, KPAC (Korean Parent Advisory Council)는 1980년대에 포트리 교육감의 요청으로 결성된 학군 내의 이중언어 학부모 모임중 하나입니다. 한인학생들과 한인학부모님들 또한 교육청의 공문 번역의 도움을 드리고, 학교생활에서 겪게 되는 애로사항들을 함께 고민하고 해결하고자 노력하는 단체입니다. 또한, 미국 사회에서 저희 아이들이 한국인으로서 자존감을 가질 수 있도록 노력합니다. 저희 모임에 참석을 못하시는 부모님께서는 연락처를 알려주시면 앞으로 진행될 KPAC 소식을 전해드리도록 하겠습니다.
