Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Education, Fort Lee, New Jersey, will receive proposals at the Board of Education Office, 231 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Lee, New Jersey, on the date of December 8, 2021 at the hour of 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, and then and there will receive and open sealed proposals for the following work:

Fort Lee School #3 Emergency Boiler Replacement

Terms of proposal and Surety required are fixed by the specifications. Drawings and specifications are available for inspection and may be picked-up from Environetics Group Architects, P.C. at 180 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632 during business hours, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays for a non-refundable deposit of $20.00 (Twenty Dollars) per CD. There is no Pre-Bid Conference, however site visits can be coordinated by contacting Gus Arnone at 201-394-9169. All requests for clarification and/or interpretation by Bidders must be emailed to Gus Arnone, of Environetics Group Architects, at by November 22, 2021 at 4:00 PM.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid but not in excess of $20,000. A 100% performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. (18A:18A-24).

Bidders must be pre-qualified to bid on work specified by the New Jersey State Board of Education (Title 18A:18A-27). Bidders must also comply with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law, N.J.P.L. 1977 c.33. Bidders are required to comply with requirements N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.

Bids must be submitted by hand delivery or time and date receipted courier (no bids are to be sent via regular mail) to the Board of Education office at 231 Main Street, 3rd floor.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment will be in the best interest of the School District. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defects or informalities in any bid, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so.

The Board will not assume responsibility for bids not delivered in person to the Board of Education at the time called for bid opening.


NJ Public Law 2004, c. 57, requires all businesses to provide proof of registration with the NJ Department of Treasury to conduct business with any school districts.
